Construction and installation works on new installations for the production of chemically purified water and water vapor have been completed at the Ferghana Refinery

The Ferghana Oil Refinery has completed the construction of a steam boiler with a chemical Water treatment plant, an important stage in the framework of a large-scale modernization of the plant.

The project, worth $24 million, is designed to meet the needs of existing and new production facilities of the plant, chemically treated water and high-quality steam, and optimize operating costs, including energy costs.

The new steam boiler house at the Farghana Refinery is a modern facility capable of producing medium and high-pressure steam with a thermal capacity of 225 tons per hour. The main suppliers of equipment are companies recognized on the world market, such as Macchi and Tekhnokhimreagent.

The development of the detailed design was carried out by Uzliti Engineering, while Enter Engineering acted as the general contractor for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC).

Steam from the boiler room is used at all stages of processing of hydrocarbon raw materials and production of commercial products, starting from installations for the primary refining of oil and gas condensate, to the deep processing of various types of petroleum products, including hydrocatalytic production processes.

“Producing our own steam will optimize operating costs. This will lead to savings of about 15% of the total costs for energy supply,” says Zafar Teshabayev, director of the Fargana Oil Refinery. “The project underscores the plant’s focus on improving its competitive position and ensuring stability in production processes”.
