A festive event dedicated to International Women's Day - March 8 was held at the Council of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan in the Fergana region. The event honored women who actively contribute to the development of society, the economy, and the trade union movement.
The event brought together active female representatives of trade unions, leading women from various enterprises and organizations, as well as representatives of partner institutions. Among the invited participants were representatives of one of the largest industrial enterprises in the region - the Fergana Oil Refinery.
The event was opened by the Chairman of the Council of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan in the Fergana region, Erkinjon Nuraliyev. In his speech, he emphasized the important role of women in public life and their growing contribution to the development of different sectors of the economy.
It was also noted that significant efforts are being made in the country to support women, protect their rights and interests, and ensure gender equality. In particular, the “Women’s Register” system plays an important role in providing targeted support to women in need and addressing their social issues.
During the event, the winners of the competition held under the motto “Trade Unions - in the Interests of Women” were awarded.
Among the winners were representatives of the Fergana Oil Refinery.
In particular, Khurshidabonu Kholmatova, Deputy Head of Workshop No. 10, and Dilnora Nosirova, Chief Specialist of Workshop No. 24, received diplomas and commemorative gifts from the Council of Trade Unions of the Fergana region.
“The main goal of the trade union system is to protect the interests of employees, support them, and increase social activity within labor collectives. Women working at our refinery actively participate not only in production processes but also in public activities, setting an example for others”, - said Rashidjon Saydaliyev, Chairman of the Trade Union Committee of the Fergana Oil Refinery.
This recognition highlights not only the personal achievements of the award winners but also the unity, initiative, and dedication of the Fergana Oil Refinery team.
