Loyalty tested by time: a meeting with the plant’s veterans

Former employees of the Fergana Oil Refinery, who dedicated many years to selfless work, returned to their beloved workplace. As part of a meeting organized by the plant's Trade Union Committee, the veterans had the opportunity to witness the modernization process firsthand and become familiar with the refinery’s latest advancements.

During the tour, the veterans visited the 8th Mechanical Repair Workshop. This was a deliberate choice, as all the attendees had worked in this very workshop before retiring. Their heartfelt emotions, nostalgic reminiscences, and the way they affectionately recalled every detail of their workplace were truly inspiring.

The Chairman of the Fergana OR Trade Union Committee, Rashidjon Saidaliyev, provided the guests with detailed information about the plant’s progress and large-scale modernization efforts. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of such meetings, fostering generational continuity, and sharing expertise:

"Our veterans are the living witnesses of the plant’s history. Thanks to their dedication and hard work, we have achieved today’s successes. Honoring and caring for them is our sacred duty."

Veteran Artur Ivanovich Geraskin, who worked at the plant for 44 years, also shared his impressions:

"This plant is my second home. I worked here, made lifelong friends, and spent the best years of my life. Seeing today’s transformations fills me with immense pride and gratitude. I sincerely thank the plant’s management and the organizers for this wonderful event."

The tour concluded with a warm and hospitable gathering at the plant’s canteen. Around a beautifully arranged table, the veterans fondly recalled their years at the refinery and enjoyed heartfelt conversations.
