As part of the program to restore the production capacity of the enterprise, the Fergana Oil Refinery has fully completed the major overhaul of its key process units.
As a result of the completed works, the storage capacity for semi-finished gasoline fractions has been increased. Three new pontoon-type storage tanks with a total capacity of 9,000 m³ have been commissioned, increasing the overall storage capacity by 45%. Following the commissioning of the gasoil hydrotreating unit, the daily production capacity of diesel fuel has increased to 1,200 tonnes, representing a 60% increase.
More than 400 engineering and technical personnel and workers were involved in the overhaul, start-up and commissioning activities. To accelerate the works, an additional 21 specialists, including welders, turners, electricians and instrumentation and control specialists, were engaged.
The supply function was also strengthened during this period. The number of employees in the relevant department was increased from 6 to 16, or 2.7 times. This will expand the capacity to ensure the timely and prompt delivery of the required materials and equipment. Over the past three months, the refinery has allocated a total of nearly UZS 55 billion of its own funds for the overhaul works.
The re-equipment and modernization of the process units provide a solid foundation for the stable and more efficient utilization of the enterprise’s production capacities in the future. The enterprise will continue implementing the production capacity restoration programme in stages, ensuring a further increase in production volumes.
