Nearly 500 children of employees from the Fergana Refinery spent their summer holidays at the renovated “Tong” wellness camp, located in the green zone of the village of Khonqiz.
Ahead of the season, extensive modernization work was carried out at the camp. Sleeping quarters were reconstructed, all furniture was fully replaced, pedestrian pathways were repaired, and the surrounding territory was landscaped. All measures aimed to ensure the comfort and safety of the children.
For the first time, the camp introduced new leisure formats, including robotics and 3D drawing master classes, outdoor quests and interactive activities, additional lessons in English and chess, as well as meetings with employees of the Fergana Refinery.
Each session followed a unique theme with its own characters and competitions.
At the end of each session, participants received memorable gifts – and most importantly, gained positive emotions and new knowledge. According to parents, many children expressed a desire to return to the camp next summer.
“We see the ‘Tong’ camp not as a seasonal project, but as an investment in the health, confidence, and development of our colleagues’ children. This year, we expanded the program, strengthened the team of mentors, and improved living conditions. And this is only the beginning”, - said Rashidjon Saidaliyev, Chairman of the United Trade Union Committee.
Organizing summer vacations for employees’ children is part of the Fergana Refinery’s sustainable social policy, based on the principles of collective responsibility and strategic support for families.
